I'm Chris and my background could be called a game of two halves. The first 20-odd years were spent in the Agricultural sector (Sheep, Beef and Dairy) while the last 17 years have seen me fully immersed in the Quarry Industry.

I've reached the top levels of management in both sectors so understand the practical aspects of the work you do. I look forward to working with you and supporting you and your team with your health and safety goals.

I've recently finished a 17 year stint in the Quarry industry where I worked in all aspects of turning big rocks into small rocks and then turning those into fine rocks for aerial spreading and stock feed.
I did a number of years in Health and Safety Management before spending the best part of 5 years in a group Operations Management role.
I hold a current Certificate of Competence as an A-Grade Quarry Manager and am a Member of the NZ Institute of Quarrying (IoQ).
Prior to joining the extractives industry I spent a little over 20 years in the Agriculture sector managing dairy farms and being in partnership in a sheep and beef farm in beautiful Central Hawkes Bay.
